Another (Different) Excerpt from The Coldest War

May 29, 2012 at 10:05 am

The insomnia has been crushing me for about the past week, so once again I've let the blog fall by the wayside.  (But hey, the last post was about an eclipse.  So that's worth a week of down time, right?  Right?)   Meanwhile, I'm working on a second draft of my current novel, Something More Than Night, which is due on my editor's desk this summer.  I'll probably write a post about that at some point.

But in the meantime, here's something cool (I hope): Patrick over at Pat's Fantasy Hotlist has posted a new, exclusive excerpt from The Coldest War.

This is a different piece of the book from the excerpt posted over at Tor.com.

That excerpt is a very good one. The 'incident' of Heike and the jar is tied up very nicely. Excellent Gretel Concordance there.

Thanks! Since the prologue is up at Tor.com, it seemed logical to give Patrick the next piece, and a little bit of Gretel. I definitely need to write up that concordance blog post... thanks for the reminder :)
