The Seedy Underbelly of Science

January 25, 2011 at 9:06 pm

In spite of a recent blog post, my own experience is that science isn't always about building interstellar probes and inspiring humanity.

Sometimes it means sitting in the same room for 12 hours, and writing down a few numbers every hour or so.

Like today, for instance.  (Lasers were involved.)

But you know what?  It's still kinda fun.

Well, you can hardly go wrong with lasers being involved.

Damn right. If lasers are involved, then something interesting must be going on. More lasers = more science!
