Hurrah! The audiobook version of Bitter Seeds is now available from Audible.com! The narrator, Kevin Pariseau, did a terrific job. And I have to admit he surprised me with how closely he had read the novel, when it came to the details of how various characters spoke. We had an email conversation about Marsh and Will, and Kevin actually reminded me of a detail I'd forgotten. Yowsers!
And, unlike me, Kevin can actually do accents and different voices. So if you're curious about how the novel is supposed to sound, check it out.

And, in other news, the incomparable and slightly insane-but-in-a-good-way Adrienne Crezo recently interviewed me for Pop Syndicate. So far this is the only interview I've done that touched on subjects ranging from the Hulk to J. D. Salinger's toilet. We also talk about books a little bit.
Adrienne's interview is here.

I'm not at all offended that you called me insane on the Internet. Not even a little. I just have something in my eye, that's all. And asthma. I always frown like this. And, and, and... it's sad because it's true.
You've got to admit, though, that interview was fun. You don't see any other interviews with words like "sociopath", "Nazi", "pneumatic tube", "toilet", "HULK", and "bubble wrap", do you?
I was going to say that hey, I never called you insane. But then I read what I actually wrote. Huh. You know, in my head, it sounded a lot better. Obviously I was using the nice definition of "insane-but-in-a-good-way". I meant it nicely. Seriously.
And the interview was a ton of fun. I've never seen any interviews ever, anywhere, to use that combinatio of words. Well, except maybe in an interview of David Lynch. But he's insane.
David Lynch is definitely insane.
Wait until The Coldest War drops. I'm saving a question for that one. You'll be the David Lynch of science fantasy alt-history WWII novelists.
Did you ever see the Disney movie that Lynch did? The Straight Story?
That was mostly normal, from which I infer the Disney folks kept that man on a very short leash. But you could see the Lynchean weirdness bubbling up to the surface a couple of times. Not surprising.
I wish I could be the David Lynch of sci-fantasy alt-history WWII novelists. I'm afraid I'm more the Kilgore Trout of the genre
