Dear New Mexico Weather,
Perhaps you didn’t receive my earlier letter. In fact, I’ll have to assume that’s the case. Not only because I never received a written response from you (but maybe that’s my fault for not making my expectations clear), but also because it is snowing as I type this.
Sure, not a LOT of snow, but it’s snow, in the air, falling between the sky and the earth.
Seriously, weather? I mean, seriously? Is this really necessary?
Look, if you’re going to have a spate of grey days, that’s fine. It happens to all of us. But if you’re going to have a little precipitation tantrum, can you at least turn out some decent rain? Instead of, you know, snow squalls? Seeing as how it’s nearly mid-May and all. The snow thing seems a little outlandish. Is what I’m trying to say. You see.
Perhaps this is the weather’s response to your previous letter.
My secret fear is that you’re entirely correct.
Just heard from Sage. Three inches of snow on the irises in Regina. And I can’t get a drop of rain at the house. *sigh* Oh, and the wind is howling again. At least the fire is out.
