It’s been a very long day, so here’s a random photo from my iPhoto library.
I took this photo of the Sydney Opera House last September.
From New Zealand.*
Using a very large lens.**
The Sydney Opera House is a truly magnificent building. I’ve always thought it was a striking thing, and that was just from photographs and postcards. But it’s much larger than I had anticipated (after all, on postcards it looks to be about the size of my thumb), and I had no idea it had such a funky mosaic texture.
(*This is a lie.)

Wow this sounds like a spam comment.
Um, kinda looks like the new Kauffman Performing Arts Center in Kansas City. But you weren’t here for the con this year, and you were Down Under, so I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt. I mean, you did misspeak, so mabye … nah.
Nice photo. Maybe you should give up your day job.
It really is the Sydney Opera House. I as there too, and we even saw a performance of Rigoletto which was magnificent.
OK, I’m glad he wasn’t exposed as s fraud. He’s developing a good eye big lens or no. Sounds like the beauty of the opera sent a shutter up your spine. Changing your focus probably let you stop harboring any doubts about the Sydney opera being just a flash in the pan.
But why were you taking photos of that enormous robot’s cleavage?
