It’s snowing as I type this. But that’s okay, because we’re up in the mountains over 9000′. So I’m going to give the weather a pass on this one.
(You hear me, weather? We need the moisture, so the snow is okay for now. But some rain would be nice, too.)
I went on a short hike today with a few others. I went on this same hike during my last visit to Rio Hondo, and so I was prepared for the path that crossed the icy mountain stream every thirty feet. I had quality footwear this time around.
At least this time it waited until we got back to start snowing on us.
We can see the misty rain and snow blowing across the mountains in waves, almost like fog. From the door to my room, it looks like this:
That’s a nice effect with the tendrils of rain/snow. A tentacular phantasm groping its way through the mountain cleft.
