James Patrick Kelly took a bunch of photos during Rio Hondo last week, and he has kindly posted them to Flickr for the world to share (and, probably, laugh at us).
He did a nice job documenting lots of little moments from the week. (You might notice that one of the only blurry photos is of yours truly– proof that I really do have a superpower, and that superpower is being supernaturally unphotogenic.)
Jim wasn’t the only photographer at the workshop taking photos of actual people. (Unlike my relatively easy landscape shots.) Diana Rowland wisely took a photo of the intrepid hikers before we set out one afternoon; she was probably thinking ahead to the need for post-mortem identification.
From right to left, the folks in this photo are: Walter Jon Williams, Melinda M. Snodgrass, James Patrick Kelly, Kim Zimring, Paul Witcover, David Levine, and a frowning hobo who just happened to be passing by.
It looks like it was a good time. Hope you got some good input, also. And, stay away from that hobo–although it is smiling hobos you really have to beware of.
