Help Shave My Friend Kat’s Head, and Help Rachel Breathe

Posted on November 26, 2011January 8, 2025 by eidolon

My friend Kat Abraham is raising donations in support of Help Rachel Breathe.  There are only a few days left on her challenge, but if she can raise $5000 by December 1, Kat will shave her head.  (At $10,000, the eyebrows will go, too.)

I’ve seen many strange things, but Kat in a Londo Mollari wig isn’t one of them.

YET.

Milkweed Crosses the Pond

Posted on November 23, 2011January 8, 2025 by eidolon

Okay, I’m doing it again.  After letting the blog lie fallow for a couple of weeks (I was traveling for my day job last week; let’s blame that) I’m popping in with more news about the Milkweed books.  But I have a really good excuse this time:

Oh, So That’s What Sorcery Looks Like

Posted on November 3, 2011January 8, 2025 by eidolon

OK, here’s one of the cooler things that happened at World Fantasy last weekend. (And this is saying something, because it was a fantastic convention.  I love WFC because it has one of the highest concentrations of incredibly cool and fun people of any convention I visit, including Worldcon.  It’s just jam-packed with tons of wonderful folks, people with whom I love to hang out, and many of whom I only see once a year.  And I always make new friends at WFC, too.)

But anyway.  There I was, minding my own business, when Derryl Murphy waved me over and said, “Hey, Ian, check this out.  This guy’s doing card tricks.”
