Love, Freeze Rays, and Supervillainy

Posted on July 15, 2008 by eidolon

The first episode of Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is available for download.

“It’s the story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to.” says Whedon.

Yep. A web-musical about love and supervillainy, written by Joss Whedon, starring Nathan Fillion (as Captain Hammer) and Neil Patrick Harris (as Doctor Horrible). What’s not to love?

Episode two will be available on Thursday, July 17. Episode three will be released on Saturday, July 19. But the free airing ends on July 20.

The Dr. Horrible site is getting hammered with traffic right now. But, the episodes are also available on iTunes.

Me, I went to iTunes. Best $1.99 I’ve spent since I-don’t-know-when.

Joss always implies the *best* worlds. Thanks for pointing this out — it was a lot of fun.

    Hello Ian

I was just reading your site, trying to figure out when exactly the first Milkweed book is coming out from TOR. Any info on that?

    Cheers,

    Mith

Hello, Mith! Thank you very much for your interest!

As far as I know at the moment, the first Milkweed book (tentatively titled Bitter Seeds) will be on shelves “sometime in 2009″… My guess would be late summer or early fall– roughly a year from now. I’ll be sure to post any updates on the front page of this site when I have news!

Once the manuscript has gone through a round of revisions (or two) with my editor at Tor, I hope to post the prologue here on the site, too. So you won’t have to wait too long to start reading it 🙂

    Thanks again!

    Ian
