Suicide Kings, Minus Christopher Walken

Posted on March 29, 2009 by eidolon

Good news for Wild Cards fans!  George has told the WC consortium that Tor has scheduled the finale of the Committee Triad, Suicide Kings, for publication this coming December.  Suicide Kings wraps up the story that began with Inside Straight and continued with Busted Flush.

And as with the previous two volumes, Suicide Kings boasts yet another fantastic cover by the amazing Michael Komarck.   I think he’s outdone himself with this cover.  Check it out here and see for yourself.

Yes, that’s Rustbelt wrestling with a crocodile.  (Cripes.)

And yes, I agree.  This cover is made of awesome, thank you very much.  I mean, it’s a metal man throwing down with a crocodile.  How is that not great?  I’d feel that way even if Rustbelt wasn’t one of my characters.  But he is, and I happen to have a framed print of this image hanging in my writing office at home, thanks to my incredibly thoughtful friends Ty and Jayne Franck.

A slightly different but equally awesome version of the cover image, along with the complete character and author lineup for Suicide Kings, can be found here.

It is a wonderful cover, and you and S.L. Farrell turned it amazing stories. They really are the soul of this book.

And the cover rocks because I love Rusty.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t mighty pleased that Rusty made the cover of Suicide Kings. This was a difficult book, but working with S. L. was a true pleasure.
