LoneStarCon3

Posted on August 29, 2013 by eidolon

I had intended to post my Worldcon schedule before I actually arrived in San Antonio.  But hey.  At least I remembered to do it at all.

Friday, August 30

10:00am – Autographing

Come watch me twiddle my thumbs!

Lillian Stewart Carl, Carol Berg, Lawrence M. Schoen, Me

1:00pm – The Year in Physics and Astronomy

New planets, new particles:  The past year has been a busy one in physics and astronomy.  The panelists will talk about the most interesting new developments, including the latest on the Higgs, new results in the distribution of planets (they’re more common than most people expected!), hints of dark matter detection and much more.

Ben Bova (M), Mark L. Olson, Vernita Gordon, Ctein, Me

Sunday, September 1

5:00pm – Keeping it Real: The Science in Science Fiction

Using real science in your stories can be important.  But also at times you can (and need to) bend the rules a bit.  The panel looks at how to keep it realistic.

Jean Johnson, Me, Perhaps Others (I hope)

Monday, September 2

10:00am – Reading

The programming folks have generously given me an hour, so I’ll probably read a bit from my forthcoming novel, Something More Than Night, as well as some Milkweed stuff.

If I were there, I would have swung by the autographs table this morning. Alas, I seem to be continuing my nearly year long streak of not attending conventions.
