More Helium Stuff

Over the past few years, I’ve written several blog posts about a looming worldwide shortage of helium.  It started with a series of three posts explaining the physics, history, and legislation giving rise to the “peak helium” problem (here, here, and here).  Since then I’ve followed the story and posted sporadic updates (here, here, here, and here). 

Then of course I fell off the face of the earth and haven’t posted anything in quite a while.  But the helium situation continues to evolve…

The End: NECESSARY EVIL Is Out!

Well, gosh.  It feels strange and a little bittersweet to say it, but I guess it’s true: with yesterday’s release of Necessary Evil, the Milkweed Triptych is officially finished. 

Necessary Evil is now available in hardcover (US), softcover (UK), ebook (US/UK), and audiobook editions.

I’m feeling slightly bemused as I stare at the completed trilogy now sitting on my bookshelf.  And feeling more than a little grateful for all the kind words, encouragement, and lovely feedback from readers and colleagues as this new book makes its way into the world.
